A Great Dog

It finally happened.  A day we knew was coming but kept hoping would not be soon.  After a fun evening scrapbooking Friday night, I came home and Robby was up with Hercules, our dear, sweet, 12 year old mini poodle, who had been coughing and struggling to breathe.  He has been in congestive heart failure for a while and we have been able to keep him going with medications, but this time was different.  No matter what medicine we gave him, and no matter how hard we tried to calm him down, we were not able to get this episode to stop.  Robby took him to the animal emergency hospital, and they said there was nothing they could do, and so Hercules in now in heaven with my other doggie baby that passed on several years ago, BiJou.  He was such a wonderful dog and we miss him terribly.  He really was a GREAT dog!

Hopefully I'll have better news for you next time.
~til then,

A New Chapter

Hello everyone!  I hope that you are all doing well this Tuesday morning.

I have to start by telling you a little bit about what's been going on with Kaylee.  She is getting ready for middle school now, and while she is very excited about it, it is really making me nervous - hehe.  Just to think that my little girl is going to be in middle school very soon is unbelieveable.  She has decided to be in band and just last night went with Robby to choose her instrument.  She is going to play the french horn.  I know nothing about the french horn, but Robby said she did very well at playing it while she tried it out and she is so excited.

While a new chapter is starting for her, I have some changes going on as well.  I have resigned as a teacher at Scrapper's Boutique and am looking forward to new things ahead.  I wish Cherie the best with her shop and I know she has plenty of other fabulous teachers there for you all to enjoy.  Jen has an adorable card class in May and Leslie and Heather both have awesome classes too, so be sure to check them out.  I want to also thank each and every one of you that have come to my classes that I have taught.  I have enjoyed you all very much!  I will be taking some time to catch up with my digital stuff and working on an album for Kaylee's Alice In Wonderland play.  I have some things I am planning, and after May, I am looking into teaching some classes again at other venues, so if you are interested, keep watching and I'll post more about it when I have more info.  :)

Here's hoping the rest of the week is sunny - hehe!
~til next time,

New Day Class Added for This Month's Crazy Daisies Class

You read it correctly!  We have added a day class for this month's Crazy Daisies Basket Class.  It will be on Tuesday, April 20th from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.  It is still just $15 and we only have 4 spots left, so don't delay - sign up today!

I can also tell you about some of the flowers for upcoming Crazy Daisies classes.  In the next few months, we will be learning to make Bachelor Buttons, Pansies, Sweet Peas, and Rhododendron.  We might also be learning the Peony.  I can't wait to get samples done to show you.

I'll keep it short and sweet today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

April Crazy Daisies Class This Saturday!!

This month for the Crazy Daisies class, I decided to use punches that have already been used in previous classes to give everyone a chance to catch up on purchasing punches that they may have missed.  So there are no new punches for this class, but you can purchase any punches used in previous classes at a 20% discount through the day of the class - yippee!!!

For this month's project, I have used a basket that we will decorate with a Petunia (a new flower we will learn using the punch we used in the rose class), and periwinkles (the flowers we learned last month).  We will be doing something different with the centers of the periwinkles this time and I have made the Petunia a bit more different than usual by using print papers from BoBunny's "Jazmyne" collection instead of cardstock.  This project is a great for MayDay, Mother's Day, or anything with a Spring theme.  Here is a photo of the project:
